So remember how I said I was creating Kindle editions of some lesser-known classics in spiritual theology? I started with Jean Grou's Manual for Interior Souls, and here's the next one, an edition of the letters of Jean-Pierre de Caussade. Caussade is well known for his book Abandonment to Divine Providence, which originally included this large collection of letters to his directees at the Convent of the Visitation at Nancy, but now almost never does (except in awkward OCR'd or facsimile versions). There wasn't an edition of the letters available for Kindle, so I decided to make one and call it Letters on Abandonment to Divine Providence. If you've read Caussade and liked him, you might enjoy this, because it is much more directly concerned with practical application of his principles.
I also separated out another brief little item that also used to appear in the main work as Spiritual Counsels of Fr. Caussade and just called it Spiritual Counsels: The Life of Abandonment. That one's cheaper because it's so short.
I think whatever my next project is, it will entail something other than self-abnegating French victim abandon spirituality!
